CRAIN, Judge.

Defendant, Rod Coleman, was charged with having committed attempted first degree murder on October 30, 1981, in violation of La.R.S. 14:30 and 14:27. He pled not guilty. A jury subsequently found him guilty of attempted manslaughter. He was sentenced to five (5) years at hard labor without benefit of probation, parole or suspension of sentence and with credit for time served.
