Beulah Grace Hamner Higginbotham originally sought a separation from her husband, Jesse Woodrow Higginbotham in a petition alleging adultery, abandonment and cruel treatment. Mr. Higginbotham reconvened, claiming he was entitled to a separation on the basis of cruel treatment. Testimony was heard and the case was continued. In the interim, Mr. Higginbotham filed a petition for divorce based on the allegation that the couple had lived separate and apart...
