Defendant, John P. Beckler, was charged by information with burglary (Ill. Rev. Stat. 1979, ch. 38, par. 19-1(a)), possession of burglary tools (Ill. Rev. Stat. 1979, ch. 38, par. 19-2), and theft of property with a value in excess of $150 (Ill. Rev. Stat. 1979, ch. 38, par. 16-1(a)(1)).
