The issue is whether the state may bring an action to recover "civil redress" damages under sec. 29.65, Stats., for the unlawful taking of fish and game protected under ch. 29, as well as prosecute the perpetrator for a civil forfeiture violation under that chapter.1 We hold that it may and reverse the order dismissing the action.
