Following a jury trial, defendant, Jose Rocael Valladares, was convicted of robbery. (Pen. Code, § 211.) An allegation that he used a knife in the commission of the crime, within the meaning of Penal Code section 12022, subdivision (b), was found to be true. Probation was denied and he was sentenced to state prison for three years (the midterm), plus an additional one-year enhancement for the weapon use...
