He does not contest the sufficiency of the evidence to support the conviction but assigns error in the refusal of the court to grant him a continuance and alleges that the court denied him the right to effective assistance of counsel in violation of the Sixth and Fourteenth Amendments to the United States Constitution and similar provisions of the Georgia Constitution.<...
