We granted certiorari in this case to determine whether the trial court erred in denying appellant's request for an instruction as to the honest belief defense set forth in the statute charging him with theft.

Sibert was convicted of possession of stolen property under Maryland Code (1957, 1982 Repl.Vol.), Art. 27, § 342(c), after a jury trial in the Circuit Court for Washington County. According to the evidence, two pre-hung doors with sidelights...
