After a bench trial defendant, Thomas W. Thornton, was convicted of the unlawful delivery of a controlled substance (Ill. Rev. Stat. 1981, ch. 56 1/2, par. 1401(a)(2)) and was sentenced to six years' imprisonment. Defendant appeals, contending the trial court erred in denying his motion to require the State to disclose the identity of an informant.
