M.R. (mother) appeals a decree terminating parental rights in her son B.A.R. (child). We affirm in part and remand in part.

The child was born November 24, 1978. On September 18, 1980, the Department of Social Services (DSS) filed a petition seeking termination of the mother's parental rights. Paternity is unacknowledged.
