This is a personal injury action arising from an automobile-pedestrian accident in which the named plaintiff Margherita Tripp sustained severe injuries.1 The jury returned a verdict for the defendants.2 In response to interrogatories, the jury found that the defendants were negligent as "a result of [a] violation of [a] state statute or [a city of] East Hartford ordinance," but that this negligence...
