Douglas Meeboer was convicted in the juvenile division of probate court of two counts of second-degree criminal sexual conduct, MCL 750.520c; MSA 28.788(3). Meeboer attempted to appeal his conviction to circuit court. The circuit court, on stipulation of the parties, dismissed the appeal on the basis that the circuit court lacked jurisdiction over such an appeal pursuant to MCL 600.863(1); MSA 27A.863(1) because Meeboer's conviction was appealable...
