The defendant, Ronald Frazier, was arrested on August 14, 1978, and charged under a short form information with five counts each of larceny in the third degree, forgery in the third degree and criminal impersonation, and one count of attempted larceny in violation of General Statutes §§ 53a-124, 53a-140, 53a-130 and 53a-49.1 He was subsequently convicted at trial on all sixteen counts.
