Plaintiff, George Dienes, filed this defamation action on March 9, 1981, in Wayne County Circuit Court against Associated Newspapers, Inc., Sienna LaRene, the Michigan Humane Society, WXYZ, Inc., and John and Mary Doe, jointly and severally.
