This is a dispute over the status of a commercial lease. Respondent-tenant claimed its lease remained effective having timely exercised its option to extend the lease for an additional five year term. Appellant, the landlord's assignee, asserted the lease had expired and respondent was a holdover, month-to-month tenant. Finding no genuine issues of material fact, the trial court granted respondent's motion for summary judgment...
