This is a direct appeal in a criminal action from a conviction of murder in the first degree (K.S.A. 21-3401). The defendant, Lila J. Baker, was tried and convicted of the murder of her uncle, Milford Fall. The circumstances leading up the homicide were not greatly in dispute.
