The defendant, Timothy A. Lambert, was charged and convicted of one count of indecent liberties with a child. The indictment charged that he "performed an act of deviate sexual conduct upon * * *, a child under the age of 16 years, in that he placed his mouth upon the sex organ of [the child] in violation of par. 11-4(a)(2)" of the Criminal Code of 1961.
