FACTS OF CASE

This case involves legal issues between the parents of a child born out of wedlock.

Acting pursuant to the Uniform Parentage Act (UPA), RCW 26.26, the mother and the guardian ad litem of the child brought a paternity action against the man alleged to be the father of the child.
