This appeal involves plaintiff's constitutional challenge to the Michigan campaign financing and practices act, MCL 169.201 et seq.; MSA 4.1703(1) et seq., as applied to the 1982 Michigan gubernatorial general election. Plaintiff was the nominee of the Libertarian party while defendants Richard Headlee and James Blanchard were the nominees of the Republican and Democratic parties, respectively.
