Following a jury trial, defendant James Johnson was convicted of two counts of aggravated battery and sentenced to concurrent terms of three years' imprisonment, the sentence to run consecutive to one he is currently serving. On appeal, defendant argues that (1) he did not effectively waive his right to counsel; (2) the trial court abused its discretion in failing to appoint a legal advisor...
