The people appeal as of right from the trial court's grant of defendant's motion to suppress evidence and order dismissing the charge against defendant.

The people charged defendant with possession of a short-barreled shotgun, MCL 750.224b; MSA 28.421(2). Following arraignment, defendant moved to suppress the sawed-off shotgun as evidence at trial.
