Appellant Trust Funds brought suit against Bill W. Gilliam pursuant to section 301 of the Labor Management Relations Act of 1947 (LMRA), 29 U.S.C. § 185(a), and section 502 of the Employee Retirement Income Security Act of 1974 (ERISA), 29 U.S.C. § 1132.
