This appeal arises from proceedings in a Chapter 7 ("Liquidation") case filed under the Bankruptcy Code of 1978, 11 U.S.C. §§ 101 et seq. The essential issue concerns the exercise of the power of the bankruptcy court, in allowing claims against the debtor's estate, to fix the "estimated" value of "any contingent or unliquidated claim". 11 U.S.C. § 502(c)(1).
