In a previous appeal of this case, we affirmed in an unpublished memorandum, 685 F.2d 440 (9th Cir.1982), the holding of the district court that the International Brotherhood of Teamsters Local 468 (the union) had breached its duty of fair representation to certain union members employed by Safeway Stores (the union members). We also affirmed the award of attorneys' fees to the union members, but vacated as speculative a damages award based...
