This action arises out of an incident, or series of incidents, that occurred at the Waukesha, Wisconsin, County Jail on April 5, 1980. The plaintiff, who was then an inmate at the jail awaiting sentencing for offenses of which he had been convicted several days earlier in a state court, alleges that he was beaten by three of the individual defendants.
