On several occasions in 1973, doctors at Ochsner Hospital Clinic and Ochsner Foundation Hospital prescribed to Glen Hemingway the drug Cafergot, to which he became hypersensitive. He developed dramatic symptoms of hypersensitivity and was treated for these at Ochsner, but some time went by before doctors there realized that his problems were caused by the administration of Cafergot.
