RICHARDSON, Presiding Judge.

Plaintiff seeks damages for injuries sustained when he was arrested in defendants' bank and advances three theories; battery, false imprisonment and negligence. He appeals a directed verdict entered in defendants' favor. We summarize the underlying facts in the light most favorable to plaintiff. See James v. Carnation Co., 278 Or. 65, 67, 562 P.2d 1192 (1977).
