Plaintiffs, New Orleans homeowners in the neighborhood of 3800 St. Charles Avenue, instituted this suit to enjoin defendants, Mr. & Mrs. Jacques J. Creppel, owners of the Columns Hotel at 3811 St. Charles Avenue, from operating a hotel, restaurant and bar at that address in violation of the city zoning ordinance. The trial court found that the hotel and restaurant constitutes a valid nonconforming use but that the operation of a barroom or cocktail...
