Ronald Duplechain, an off-duty New Orleans police officer, was shot and killed on November 17, 1979, in the 5106 Club, a bar on Claiborne Avenue in New Orleans. That bar is owned and operated by Arthur and Isaac Turner who are brothers and partners. Arthur Turner, a public school teacher during the day, was on duty that night and it was he who shot Officer Duplechain. The widow of Officer Duplechain sued Arthur...
