Defendant, Rodney Lawrence, was convicted by a jury in 1978 of entering to commit a felony, Ind. Code § 35-13-4-5 (Burns 1975) (repealed Acts 1976, P.L. 148) and of fleeing a police officer, Ind. Code § 35-21-2-1 (Burns 1975) (repealed Acts 1976, P.L. 148). He was also found to be a habitual offender, Ind.
