Defendant, Dion Mitchell, was charged by grand jury indictment on March 31, 1982, with aggravated rape, a violation of La.R.S. 14:42, and with attempted simple kidnapping, a violation of La.R.S. 14:45 and 14:27. Defendant filed a motion to suppress a confession and a motion to suppress identification testimony. Both motions were heard and denied on August 27, 1982.
