William Schuler was charged by bill of information with possession or dealing in an unregistered or illegally transferred weapon in violation of LSA-R.S. 40:1785. Defendant initially entered a plea of not guilty at arraignment. After the trial judge denied defendant's motion to suppress physical evidence, defendant withdrew his former plea of not guilty and entered a plea of guilty as charged, expressly reserving his right to appeal the trial judge...
