This is an appeal from a judgment in favor of plaintiffs-appellees, Alice and Willie Wesley, and against defendant-appellant, State of Louisiana, through the Department of Transportation and Development. The City of Denham Springs and Livingston Parish Police Jury, also named as defendants, were dismissed from the suit prior to trial. The trial court found defendant State strictly liable for the defective condition of Louisiana Highway 16 at the site...
