A jury convicted appellants of first degree murder while armed (felony murder) and armed robbery based upon their slaying a store owner in Southwest Washington and robbing his store and one of his customers.1 There was testimony from eyewitnesses that appellants, one of whom was carrying a pistol, were outside the victim's store and made inquiries about it, as well as several others in that block.
