WARRINER, District Judge.

On 2 July 1984, plaintiff, proceeding pro se and in forma pauperis, filed this complaint pursuant to 42 U.S.C. § 1983. On 24 July, defendants submitted a motion for an enlargement of time. This motion was granted by order of 14 August; defendants were directed to respond within ten days of the date of entry thereof. On 23 August defendants requested an additional seven days to respond to plaintiff's complaint...
