Alejandro Bruni appeals from a judgment of conviction of theft on or about May 27, 1977, of property valued at over $10,000, a second degree felony prior to the 1983 amendments to Tex.Pen.Code Ann. § 31.03 (1974). Punishment was assessed by the court, after a jury verdict of guilty, at confinement in the Department of Corrections for ten years and a fine of $10,000.
