Randolph E. Neal, Jr. appeals from an order dismissing his action against the American Telephone and Telegraph Co., d/b/a South Central Bell (SCB), because of his failure to appear at a deposition pursuant to a court order.

On July 2, 1982, Neal filed a complaint in circuit court against SCB wherein he sought to avoid disconnection of his telephone service by alleging that the failure of SCB to provide him with over 35 free telephone directories...
