Appellant, John Armstrong, was convicted after a jury trial in the district court for the Northern District of Georgia of knowingly and unlawfully possessing with intent to distribute two Schedule II control substances — cocaine and methaqualone — in violation of 21 U.S.C. § 841(a)(1) (1980).
