Appellant Lawrence Moosey was charged with unlawful distribution of cocaine under 21 U.S.C. § 841(a)(1), and with conspiracy to distribute and possess with intent to distribute cocaine, under 21 U.S.C. § 846. After a jury trial in the United States District Court for the District of Rhode Island, Moosey was convicted on both counts and sentenced to concurrent prison terms of five years followed by a special parole term of three years...
