In April, 1971, the appellant pleaded guilty to a felony charge of assault with intent to kill, in that he had fired shots from a shotgun with intent to kill a certain person. The trial judge accepted the plea and sentenced Finley to three years in the Arkansas Penitentiary, but suspended the sentence on certain conditions.
