The State of Louisiana applied to this court for a writ of certiorari for us to review the trial court ruling which granted defendant's motion to suppress evidence. At the request of this court, defendant filed a brief opposing the State, and the trial court forwarded to us the court record, including a transcript of the hearing on the motion to suppress evidence.
