Plaintiff Betty Rooney was employed as a legal secretary in defendant National Super Markets's legal department when she was fired by defendant Kim Luther, the head of the department and plaintiff's immediate supervisor. She brought this action in two counts, alleging that the circumstances attending her discharge were actionable as outrageous conduct and as a prima facie tort.
