The defendant was charged by affidavit with two counts of Prostitution in violation of LSA-R.S. 14:82(a) and 14:82(b). Following a bench trial in Shreveport City Court in which she waived her right to a jury trial,1 the defendant was found guilty on both counts. For the violation of LSA-R.S. 14:82(a), prohibiting indiscriminate sexual intercourse for compensation, she was sentenced to six months in jail with four months...
