On June 13, 1980, the Wabash Circuit Court entered a decree dissolving the marriage of Claudia and Jerry Chapman. Pursuant to this decree Jerry Chapman was awarded custody of the parties' two minor children. The decree also prohibited Chapman from removing the children from the state without the prior approval of the court.
