GUITTARD, Chief Justice.

Appellant was convicted by a jury of escape. His punishment, enhanced by two prior felony convictions, was assessed by the trial judge at life in the Texas Department of Corrections. On appeal, appellant, proceeding pro se, complains of the trial court's denial of his motion to dismiss counsel and to proceed pro se. We hold that the motion was improperly denied. Therefore, we reverse the judgment of the trial court and remand the case...
