On March 11, 1982 the appellant, Bobby Glen Wilcher, was indicted for the capital murders of Velma Odell Noblin and Katie Bell Moore. The indictments charged that he murdered these two ladies while he was robbing or attempting to rob Velma Odell Noblin and while he was engaged in the crime of kidnapping her and Katie Bell Moore.
