Appellant was convicted by a jury of Attempted Robbery, a Class B felony. He was sentenced to a term of twenty (20) years imprisonment.

The facts are: On the evening of November 8, 1981, Michael and Betty Fronius, accompanied by their son, Michael Callipare, were driving home through Gary, Indiana. When they stopped at an intersection, their vehicle was intentionally rear ended by a car which had been following them for some distance...
