Defendant, James E. Johnson, a/k/a Ray Vaughn, was charged by a Bill of Information filed April 13, 1981, with a violation of La.R.S. 14:64 (armed robbery). Following a jury trial on September 28 and 29, 1982, defendant was found guilty as charged, and, on Friday, October 15, 1982, he was sentenced to twenty years at hard labor, without benefit of parole, probation, or suspension of sentence.
