The defendant, Betty Brooms, was charged by bill of information with the crime of possession of marijuana with intent to distribute under the provisions of LSA-R.S. 40:966(A)(1). A search warrant for the defendant's apartment in Oakdale was executed on April 27, 1983, and a large quantity of marijuana was recovered as a result of the search.
