This is a consolidated appeal from the judgments of conviction of the defendants, Paul Libby and Warren Cooper, following their joint jury trial in the Superior Court, Kennebec County. Libby appeals from his convictions on the charges of simple assault, 17-A M.R.S.A. § 207 (1983), and failure to stop for a police officer, 29 M.R.S.A. § 2501-A(2) (1984). Cooper appeals from his convictions of aggravated assault, 17-A M.R.S.A. § 208...
