BLANCHE, Justice.

The defendant in this case was arrested and charged by bill of information with possession of heroin with intent to distribute, a violation of La.R.S. 40:967. After a jury trial, defendant was found guilty and sentenced to life imprisonment. From this conviction, defendant now appeals.
